Common spiritual heritage is a factor unifying Europe which culture originates from Greek-Roman and Christian source. This common source unites all the European nations and their tradition. Therefore, the common European idea should be researched at an academic level, where the university would educate young people in a national spirit of solidarity.
Collegium Europaeum Gnesnense is such a university. It accomplishes this idea in three ways. Firstly, it investigates the ancient and Christian heritage in Polish culture as well as connections between Polish tradition and Western Civilisation. Secondly, the university educates students in many aspects of European issues. Finally, it popularizes the idea of integration and explains its sense in the context of respect to cultural identity.
